How to Fix the Issue of QuickBooks not Responding

If you get a message "QuickBooks has stopped working" or "QuickBooks not responding" and your QuickBooks does not start, try to fix the issue with following solutions. This situation may arise due to many different causes. Thus you need to try the options in the given order to see which one works for you.

Solution 1: Try to fix with QuickBooks Component Repair Tool. Just download it and run.

Solution 2: Your antivirus may also interrupt with QuickBooks. Thus try to temporarily disable your antivirus software and restart your PC and launch QuickBooks.

Solution 3: Rename the QBWUSER.INI file and change it to QBWUSER.INIold. You will find this file in the folder located in the following path "C:\Users\[Your user name]\AppData\Local\Intuit\QuickBooks [year]"You will not be able to see this file unless you have enable the option of "Show Hidden files, folders and drives" from the advanced settings section.

Solution 4: If the above solutions do not work for you, simply uninstall the whole QuickBooks application and install a fresh new copy. Also make sure you update it to the latest released version. For any help contact QuickBooks Tech Support experts.

Solution 5: Look for the company data file which will have the extension .qbw by searching for it in your PC or network. Copy this file and paste in a new folder created in C drive. Rename this new folder as QBTEST. Now launch QuickBooks and at the same time keep the CTRL key pressed. Now choose the option "Open or Restore an Existing Company" and link it to the C:\QBTEST folder. Eventually open the data file.

Solution 6: Create a new user account in your operating system with the administrator rights and then try to open the QuickBooks after logging to this account QuickBooks tech support
